This question can be asked of the entire History of mankind who has been the most important? The simple answer is Jesus Christ. We may ask why has He been the most important and it could be summed up in two statements. Who He is and what He has done. First we will look at who He is. The scriptures tell us that He is not of this world. They tell us that He is from above, and has always been. They tell us that He made all things and all things are kept in existence by His power. In other words He has every attribute that we could conceive of to prove beyond any doubt that He is in fact God the LORD. What has He done? This could not be expressed completely because He has done everything being God. But we will look at a few of the most important things He has done. One thing He has done is revealed God's love to us fully. This was done in His life and in His death and in His resurrection. Another is that He has perfectly expressed to us the will of God or otherwise what God wants from us. Thirdly He has as God promised us many things that He can fulfill because of who He is.

We will look at one of those important promises. "He that believeth on me Hath everlasting life" John 6:47. This promise is reserved to God alone. Only God can make this promise notice He did not say that believeth on God but on ME! How profound and sublime, He gives this promise to any who will recognize who He Is and listen still. Will you not see that He is promising you right now everlasting life if you believe in Him. There is no condition but that you use your heart that He gave you and now give Him your trust, He waits for you to trust Him! You don't have to wait for anything to do that, He is the Saviour of ungodly sinners.
