The Gospel is essentially the message of the entire Bible. In a few verses you can see it expressed more complete than elsewhere. "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures and that He was buried and rose again the third day according to the scriptures and that He was seen" 1 Corinthians 15:3-5. It is also expressed like this "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved" Acts 16:31. As well "He hath made Him to be sin for us, Who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him" 2 Corinthians 5:21. By far the best expression is John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life". The Gospel is a message given about and by God so that it might be well between God and man. It demands a response for our behaviour and condition. The Gospel is a message that must be obeyed from the heart first. Your answer to the Gospel is going to determine your eternal destiny. The only hope for life after death in this world is by accepting the Gospel.

The Gospel is in fact a question to you what will you do with Jesus who is called Christ? Behold the man and decide for yourself. The fact that God cares about Christ His only begotten Son as His beloved and well pleasing Son makes the Gospel about friendship. God cares what we think and believe from the heart about Jesus, if we think wrongly about Jesus we continue to offend God. "There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved" Acts 4:12. JESUS is the GOSPEL.
