In 1908 Christians started meeting in a log cabin in Glenrosa to remember the Lord and as more settlers arrived from Europe and America the number of Christians gathering unto the Lord together grew.

By 1912 a building also serving as a school still standing today on Gates Road was built (seen above). The group of local Christians gathered there until 1939 when a hall was constructed on donated land near its present location in Westbank. As Highway 97, which at that time ran up from Mexico through the U.S to Fairbanks Alaska, ran right past the hall the name Highway Gospel Hall was chosen. The highway was moved and then later the name was kept because of the couplet built through Westbank now one block from the Hall the intersection with Hebert Road can still be seen from the Hall Doorway. By 1949 the number of Christians gathering together in that place continued to grow and by 1951 the size of the hall was doubled.
By April 1983 the number of Christians continued to grow and a new hall was built which is in service today to the Christians.
Many of the Christians who gather at the Highway Gospel Hall in 2009 are members of those families that met in the hall built in 1912. The Christians who remain to use the hall in service to the Lord continue to preach the Gospel and have seen blessing waiting upon the Lord and can be exhorted in the challenging days ahead by the Lords words of encouragement and exhortation.
